Design Q will be showcasing the latest Oculus Rift technology at the 15th annual European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva from May 19th – 21st 2015. The 3D system places passengers into the cockpit or aircraft cabin allowing visitors to EBACE the chance of a virtual glimpse of Design Q’s latest interiors.
Design Q is now using the 3D virtual reality system as part of their design process when defining cabin interiors for clients.
Commenting on the Oculus Rift software, Gary Doy, Director and Owner of Design Q: “We are finding we’re getting great value from portraying our early concepts in the 3D virtual world. By using the software it allows us to make decisions quickly, which helps us to fast track the design process. Design Q uses the Oculus Rift technology in conjunction with simple early full size mock-ups of the cabin interior to provide customers with a great understanding of interior volumes, while at the same time allowing them to get a real feel for the design concept inside a mock-up.”
Howard Guy, Director and Owner Design Q said: “This is the latest method in cutting edge technology aiding us in the design process. We’re excited to show to the media what Design Q has to offer in terms of styling, precision and best in class service, all of which is highlighted using the Oculus Rift technology. Several of our designs will be on display at EBACE and we’d love show you what Design Q has to offer.”
Gary Doy and Howard Guy will be at the show with their team supporting customers on their booths. If you’re interested in meeting either Howard or Gary and taking a look into the virtual world please call +44 (0) 7971 888 282.
